Ho Chi
Minh City is the largest city in Vietnam It is located between
the Mekong Delta and South Vietnam and is approx. 50km inland
from the South China Sea.
The city covers an area of over 2,000 square km and has
a population of around 5 million.

Minh City was previously known as Saigon. It is the business
center of the country. The whole city is really vibrant
and full of character. Everywhere you turn you will see
street vendors, businessmen and thousands of bicycles, office
workers. Hip new cafes and bars, colourful shops, vibrant
markets, high rise office buildings and hotels, and traditional
pagodas and temples!
The
most popular location for visitors is District 1 in the
center of the city. There you will find many hotels, shops
and Internet cafes , restaurants.
Vietnam
is a wonderful place, full of friendly people. The cost
of living is low and the teaching wage is surprisingly high
for SE Asia ($8 to $15 US dollars per hour).
