This initial
application form is not binding in any way. We will simply assess
your request and write back to you. If your application has been
successful, you can then decide weather you would like to join
the course or not by simply sending us an email back. We will
also answer any other questions you may have.
If you not
sure, and would rather not send us an application form, simply
send an email with all your questions. Naturally, we can only
assess weather you are eligible for the course if we receive your
full details.
If you have
decided you wish to book, the following conditions will apply:
After successful
application, and your decision to take part in the course, you
will be asked to pay a deposit of € 500 which is non refundable
and submit to us your full personal details, Qualification and
Experience and a statement from you stating your reasons for teaching.
The balance
of payments are due when you arrive at your course locations,
usually in the currency of that country.
If for any
reason you wish to cancel your place after arriving at the school,
after your part or full fees (i.e. deposit plus balance) have
been paid, TEFL International cannot provide any refund except
for exceptional circumstances. The course organizer’s decision
is final. In any case, the deposit is non-refundable. The reason
for this is that the accommodation and staffing for the course
have fixed costs which have to be paid for in advance and based
on a specific number of course members in the group. The college
cannot replace a course member who subsequently drops out.
The course
fee is based on your satisfactory completing all the course assessments,
including Teaching Practices, within the four weeks. If for any
reason you do not complete these satisfactorily within the period
and it is agreed that an extension of time or further Teaching
Practices are possible later, you will be liable to additional
charges to cover additional staff time. These are USD$20 for each
piece of written work and USD$35 for each Teaching Practice. If
you withdraw from the moderation of your current course and wish
to enter moderation on a later course, an additional moderation
fee must be paid.
As part of
our pre-screening process, applicants are requested to submit
an account of background and of their motives for joining the
course as well as their personal history and their future aspirations.
Inaccuracies or fraudulent claims in the application are grounds
for dismissal from the course.
Of the hundreds
of courses we have offered, we have cancelled only three courses.
Cancellations are extremely rare. Yet, if for some reason we cancel
a course, we will offer trainees the following choices:

A full refund
·
Priority enrol in a future course.

Transfer to another course
All
course members are liable to the disciplinary regulations and
rules of the center. The course director's decision is final and
dismissal from the course is not grounds for a refund
The TEFL
International TESOL certificate is not graded. The final certificate
will usually be available on the last day of the course.
